The band began as a four piece ensemble, playing mostly covers as they explored original music in the Washington DC/Northern Virginia area. They played the Grog and Tankard several times, still experementing. Their drummer at the time was Michael Calloway, and their bass player was Narain Bala.

They open for Overkill and headline several shows at Jaxx Night Club. 2008 - Blood Corps' lineup changes once again, with the addition of Paul Atkins (AKA Skittles) on bass, Eric Gardner (AKA Fester) on drums, and Ashley N. Smith on keyboard. With the addition of a keyboard player, they take on a melodic metal style. They open for Sonata Arctica, Edguy, and Kamelot. 2009 - Unfortunately, Ashley and Paul leave the band in later 2008. With the addition of a new bass player, Devon DiGiovanni, Blood Corps' EP is completed and they begin touring once again, and Fester leaves the band in late 2009.
